Nappy, a Corvette, and Kali

I just received a post from one of the authors of one of the best reads on the net, Nappy Diatribe. You'll notice that I now have a permanent link to it, because there's no way I'm going to forget how to get there. Damn it's funny.

In other news, I just ordered my 2005 C6 Vette. Black on black with the Z51 suspension package. I guess it wasn't enough to just test drive it. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to be able to afford it. It doesn't matter really. Whenever I get depressed about not having money, I'll just look inside the garage, and maybe hit 180mph on a back road somewhere. I can't wait till it gets here.

Yesterday's Kali class was pretty high energy. I got to work on teaching the basics to some of the newer students. After that, they got to use their new skills to beat me up. I threw the over-zealous punches and they countered with combinations to my ribs and head. It's a good lesson though. Although, one might not intuitively make the connection, it's always good to practice on how to stay calm when you're on the receiving end of a barrage of punches, kicks, and stick attacks.
