Back in the Groove

After an emergency trip to Kansas City and some time with the flu, I'm finally fully back from vacation. After a lot of time thinking through design and conceptual directions for the next version of Moluv.com there's finally something tangible growing. Although I won't be sharing the design anytime soon, I will share the thought behind where I think the site should be going.

Moluv.com is simply a collection of links to the sites I think are the best looking. Originality in both design and function are also highly valued. To that end, the current site has been very useful for me personally ( and hopefully for a few others ) as a reference.

Going forward, I'd like to have Moluv.com be able to make a way for itself. It's been 6 full years since it's initial launch and it's time for the site to grow up. In order to do that, it has to be able to make friends on it's own merits. That means it has to be nice to visitors, be able to share, show appreciation, acknowledge feedback, then adjust to it.

What I don't want it to be is a site that requires a lot of heavy lifting from us administrators in the form of article writing, interviews, and manual categorization and data collection. We should just be focused on posting links and blogging, in addition to any administrative stuff related to advertising, and maybe answering the occasional email.

So, there you have it. This is the concept. Now it's time to execute. We'll see how that goes.
