The Past Few Months
They have been very busy. Here's a quick breakdown of what's been going on:
Moluv.com
I started doing some design and development on the new version. I liked the design direction, and I added a nice little AJAX treat, but then I ran into a problem. Most of the code I've developed produces table-based output using ASP connected to SQL Server database. Let's see, that's two soon to be out-of-date web technologies. Hmmm... Time to stop and think of a new direction.
Work and Travel
At my nine-to-fiver I got a new role heading up the design of the companies flagship site. It's a big company that you've never heard of, but working on it is like a time sink. I've been to Denver and Chicago over the past few weeks, and I get to work with one of Moluv's featured site creators. Hopefully it'll help out a lot of small business owners in the long run.
Shab's Stuff
Shabnam's classes and performances have been taking off. She's all over the place. Her tribe and her blog both seem to be taking off. Good for you lady. I'll just hold on to her coattails. I can't imagine the buzz that'll be going around when her small part in Will Smiths upcoming movie Pursuit of Happyness comes out.
Martial Arts
A big update wouldn't be complete without a martial arts update. I got to be a part of a Kali demonstration. It would have been a lot more fun if I didn't pull that hamstring at the beginning of the demo. I hope I was able to act like I wasn't hurt well enough to keep anyone from noticing.
Capoeira has been going great also. My handstands, strength, and flexibility (for backbends at least) have improved a lot. I can now get out of a bridge in 3 directions, and my attempts at one-handed backflips from a crouch are starting to look less like cartwheels.
Also, I've been working on integrating Capoeira moves into my Kali classes. Mixing the big Capoeira movements with the timing and precision of Kali is turning out to be a strong combination. Using Kali in a Capoeira class wouldn't even be fair. Hands and weapons aren't used for striking.
Goals
I think I'm a little off schedule on paying off my house in 5 years (that would be 4 now). I still have no idea how I'll be able to make half-a-million dollars in that time. If you think of any legal methods, let me know. Maybe I should finish figuring out that Moluv.com platform solution and get my lazy butt back in the developers chair.

Hello Maurice,
What style of kali do you practice? I'm a student of pekiti-tirsia.
The style I study is called Kamaaturan Kali, which was developed by Tuhan Joe Arriola. He's a genius when it comes to fighting.
